AGBU has begun to carry out a series or important initiatives, which augment the mission of the organization and whose goal it is to make the reality of the homeland a part of the life of diasporan Armenian youth. The objective of these new programs in Armenia is to build bridges between diasporan youth and Armenia and demonstrate the common cultural bond that unites Armenians everywhere.

AGBU Summer Study in Armenia Program

In collaboration with the American University of Armenia (AUA), this unique four-week program allows students to take courses offered by top universities in Armenia with transferable credits to U.S. and other institutions. Studies are supplemented with a cultural enrichment program.

Yerevan Summer Internship Program

The Yerevan Summer Intern Program (YSIP) offers college students of Armenian descent the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience in their field of study by working in leading companies and institutions in the Armenian capital. YSIP also includes a full schedule of educational, cultural and social activities that will familiarize youth with Armenia's land and culture.

Youth Trip to Armenia

The tour designed for 15 to 18-year-old Armenians is a unique initiative that seeks to instill pride in youth eager to learn more about their heritage and the wonders of Armenia.

Scout Camp in
Dilijan-Vanadzor

AGBU Scout troops will participate in a jamboree for the first time in summer 2008. In the Dilijan-Vanadzor region of Armenia, the newly opened AGBU Scout camp will offer a vibrant setting for youth to explore the natural beauty of the homeland and meet fellow Armenian youth.
