After a highly successful General Assembly in Paris, France, that included a special Centennial Gala at the famed Palace of Versailles (stay tuned, photos will be posted December 27 on www.agbu.org), AGBU is preparing for a fruitful 2007 that will continue the organization’s Centennial celebrations until the concluding events in Armenia this April.
Eager to share the talents of Armenia with others, AGBU recently sponsored the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra's (APO) Central European tour to share the gift of music with eager audiences. In the upcoming month, the APO will also travel to France to perform during the country’s "Year of Armenia" festivities.

AGBU Sponsors the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra’s Autumn Tour of Central Europe
The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra (APO) embarked on a four-city concert tour of Central Europe from September 27 to October 6, 2006. The 110-member orchestra was invited to showcase its talent in music festivals held in Nuremberg, Germany, Bratislava, Slovakia and the Czech Republic’s two largest cities, Prague and Brno.
While on tour, APO performed alongside some of Europe's most talented classical musicians, demonstrating its status as an orchestra of the highest caliber receiving invitations to perform at the most prominent music festivals and concert halls in Central Europe.
