Vol. XLIV No. 174 Fall 2003
The issue is a grab bag of writing-fiction, criticism, correspondence, journalism, poetry-all part of the rough and tumble of Armenians writing in America today. Among our non-fiction contributions, we’d especially like to highlight an excerpt from Markar Melkonian’s memoir of his late brother Monte, which took nearly a decade to research and write. In fiction, we’re pleased to publish a section from Daniel Melnick’s new novel Artemis in Grief that tells the story of the Ararat clan in its wanderings from the San Joaquin Valley to the Bay Area and back again.
